Natural Stone Carving
with Harry Jonas
Thursday 3rd September 2026
Join us for a unique day of stone carving using beautiful local stone. Whether you choose to carve timeless classical letterforms or design some typo of your own, Harry Jonas, a highly regarded stonemason with over 30 years' experience, will guide you through every stage of the process with care and precision.
Begin your day with homemade pastries and freshly brewed coffee before wandering through the Pythouse Kitchen Garden to our outdoor workshop. Here you'll learn a fascinating new skill—or refine an existing one—while creating a unique piece to take home, surrounded by the beauty of the garden.
All tools, stone and expert tuition are provided, so simply bring your enthusiasm, suitable clothing and an appetite for exceptional seasonal food.
After the workshop, gather around the table with Harry to enjoy a delicious three-course Michelin Green Star 'Eat the Plot' lunch in our cosy restaurant.
