Join us this October for a lively lunchtime celebration of seasonal food, friendly competition and shared dining at Pythouse Kitchen Garden. Inspired by the much-loved TV show, Ready Steady Cook, ‘Pick. Prep. Plate’ brings together TV favourite Lesley Waters and our very own Chef Darren Broom for a one-off culinary showdown celebrating the very best of our autumn harvest.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Pythouse Kitchen Garden Head Chef, Darren Broom, takes on renowned local chef and television favourite, Lesley Waters, creating imaginative three-course menus using ingredients freshly picked from our kitchen garden alongside produce from trusted local suppliers.
Hosting the action is the wonderful Tiggy Walker, whose warmth, wit and infectious enthusiasm will keep the energy high throughout this unique event.
As the challenge unfolds, guests will hear the stories behind the ingredients, discover the inspiration behind each menu and watch the chefs bring their ideas to life.
Then comes the all-important moment: you decide the winner!
Rather than tasting the competing dishes, guests will cast their vote based on presentation, creativity and the irresistible appeal of each menu. Once the champion has been crowned, everyone will gather around our long communal tables to enjoy a delicious three-course harvest feast prepared by the Sprigs Co. team.
Expect exceptional food, plenty of laughter and a memorable afternoon celebrating the joy of seasonal cooking and the abundance of Pythouse Kitchen Garden.

Timings: Midday - Arrival drinks / 12.30 - 1.30 Pick. Prep. Plate competition / 1.30 - 3.00pm Set 3 course seasonal lunch & drinks.
Places: £95 per person inc. lunch and drinks.
Maximum number of guests: 70
Bookings close: 1 week before event.
Terms & Cancellation: 2 weeks cancellation notice for a full refund.
Notes: This event will be held outside on the terrace under cover with lunch to follow in the restaurant.
